Bihar Ration Card e-KYC 2025: Last Date Today (31 Dec), Status Check & Aadhaar Link

The Food and Consumer Protection Department, Government of Bihar has issued a strict directive for all Ration Card holders to complete their e-KYC (Electronic Know Your Customer) verification. The final deadline for this process is December 31, 2025. Beneficiaries who fail to complete the e-KYC verification by this date risk having their names deleted from the Ration Card list and will be ineligible to receive food grains starting January 1, 2026.

This verification is mandatory to ensure that only genuine beneficiaries avail of the benefits under the National Food Security Act (NFSA). The e-KYC process can be completed offline at any Public Distribution System (PDS) shop using a Point of Sale (PoS) machine or online via the official mobile applications supported by the department.

How to Check Bihar Ration Card e-KYC Status Online

Beneficiaries can verify if their Aadhaar is already linked and e-KYC is active by following these steps:

1. Visit the official EPDS Bihar portal: epds.bihar.gov.in.
2. Click on the “RCMS Report” link on the homepage.
3. Select your District, Block, and Panchayat.
4. Locate your Ration Card number in the list and click on it.
5. The status of each member’s Aadhaar seeding will be displayed (Status should be “Seeded” or “Active”).
6. Alternatively, use the “Mera Ration” mobile app and select the “Aadhaar Seeding” option to check status.

Process to Complete e-KYC (Offline & Online)

Method 1: At Fair Price Shop (Recommended)
Visit your nearest PDS dealer (Ration Shop) with your Aadhaar Card and Ration Card. The dealer will complete the KYC using the e-PoS machine and biometric authentication (fingerprint).

Method 2: Via Mobile App
Download the “Mera Ration” App or “Aadhaar FaceRD” App. Use the Aadhaar linking feature to complete face authentication verification from home (subject to technical availability).
